Dr. Michael Kennedy is a board-certified sports and emergency medicine physician with expertise in treating a wide variety of athletic injuries and conditions. He has over 20 years of clinical experience in treating patients and creating awareness of sports-related injuries with his unique approach to sports medicine.
Dr. Kennedy is a certified Medical Review Officer and is certified to perform drug screening tests for municipalities and sports teams. He also works as the Police Surgeon for the Suffolk County New York Sheriff's Office. He has overseen events such as the New York Golden Gloves boxing tournament, the US Open Championship tennis tournament, and events with the Olympic Boxing Association as a ringside assistant. He is the sports physician for Valley Stream School District, as well as covering high school and college sporting events such as wrestling tournaments, football games, and lacrosse games.
Dr. Kennedy has a degree in Osteopathic Medicine from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX. He also has an MBA in Business Management from Cornell University, making him the leader in his field. Dr. Kennedy also has held teaching appointments at NYU and Cornell Medical Schools. He is a current member of the American College of Sports Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
